
The Imaging & Optics Facility hosts a number of Image Analysis Workstations. These are shared computer systems with powerful hardware and a variety of image analysis software installed.
We host three different kinds of workstations:
i) physical workstations – these are physical machines that are located in the IT server room
ii) VDIs (virtual desktop interface) – these are virtual computers, which run on central infrastructure
iii) Machine learning VDIs – these are just like the normal VDIs, but equipped specifically for machine learning approaches such as CARE, Noise-2-Void, SLEAP etc.
